Dr. H. Schmittmann GmbH was founded in 1905 and is still family owned.

Dr. Tatjana Schmittmann-Schlager, fourth generation, has represented the company as Managing Director since 1998.

Worldwide, we are one of the few manufacturers to produce saponins. In a second branch of the company, the foundry release agent moulding starch “Special” (Formpuder "Spezial") and lycopodium substitute (Lykopodiumersatz) are manufactured.

To maintain our high quality standards, we produce and operate according to the company's own integrated management system for the areas of quality - environmental protection - hygiene and occupational safety.
